Bytemix is a Free WP Theme, featuring 2 columns layout with Left sidebar. Before i designed 3 columns wordpress theme Bytetips for wordpress bloggers . This time its a tweaked version on a request from a blog reader. I checked this theme with WordPress Version 2.7. Its compatible with WordPress Version 2.6.5 Here s a screen shot of the theme. I submitted the theme to wordpress theme directory. I shall add more info and demo as soon as possible.
If you want to change the Logo then you have to create your own image/ logo. Make a logo and rename it head.jpg
After making a logo go to theme directory. Then go to Image directory. Ex ( bytetips/images) and replace head.jpg with your logo. If you have any question plz post it here.

Nice wp themes. Just downloaded it.
nice… how to put custom google search?
@mancai –
if you want to put google search on this wordpress theme you nee to add the search box code to the widget. After that create a page from admin panel and add the landing page script on the page. you are done..
Jim,
First off, thanks for putting in the time and effort to make this theme. It was exactly what I wanted. Clean, fresh, easy to navigate.
So I have one question. I am trying to change the icon that appears next to my url. I found a nifty online program that took my .png file and made an .icon file out of it. I wanted to replace the favicon file, which I thought was the icon in front of the url. I uploaded it to my server and no luck.
Suggestions?

I am glad to see that you likes this theme. If you want to change the fav icon replace favicon.ico from theme directory. Then make a png format for that icon and replace favicon.png from theme directory. Have fun!!
ok giving it a shot now
Nice and simple, I like it! Thanks!
Hi Jim.
I’m having a bit of a problem with the right hand side bar dropping the Search,Pages and Meta links down to the bottom of the page.
It was all working ok until I blogged about something a couple of weeks ago and then it vanished from the top where it should be down to the bottom.
I’ve tried deleting the theme then uploading a new version but with no improvement.
Any ideas?
It’s ok mate.
It looks like it’s fixed itself now. Must have ben a server error. Or something!!??
Phil…
that’s great.. i wonder why.. !!
